All cottages on the estate have been recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard making extensive use of materials sourced from the estate itself. Very careful attention has been paid to comfort and detail. Beautifully decorated and furnished with antique and period pieces, they offer solid wood floors and hand-made curtains. Dovecote House, the Linhay, the Appleloft and Groom’s Cottage have wood-burning stoves with free fuel available from the estate's woodland. The Captain’s House at Instow has, likewise, undergone recent renovation to a high standard.

The owners' personal tennis court at Webbery is available to guests when not in use by them. (Non-marking footwear must be worn).

The grounds boast innumerable specimen trees and rhododendrons. If you are a foodie, the estate has two walled organic kitchen gardens where we grow some of the less commonly seen varieties of vegetable (in the UK at least!) such as Romanesco, Cavelo Nero, Pink Fir Apple potatoes etc. Subject to season and availability we give these away free to our guests
